East Coast Park 404 sports fiesta
whee what a tiring day today! we went to east coast park to spend the day with some of the 404 peeps.. it was a "sports fiesta" organised by Gabriel where we go there to play soccer, rugby, cycle, skate and supposedly badminton.. well, we did everything of that except badminton... poor Daniel, brought his racquet but no one played.. heh.
anyway, left house about 9am to meet some people in town before making our way to east coast. took bus 36 from outside heeren to somewhere in bedok, we then had to walk through the underpass under the ECP to get to east coast park.. while we were walking towards barbeque pit 36, we walked past several bicycle rental shops. we then came up to these 2 shops. the first one had a young guy come up to us asking if we were keen on renting bicycles.. they charged $6/day up till 10pm. i thought that was ok and decided to carry on walking for awhile before deciding on whether to rent skates or bicycles. when we came to the second shop just next door, an old man come out to ask us the same thing. just that now, he said "want to rent bicycles? $6 for three hours, normal is $6 for 2 hours." then, ziwei told him that the shop before said $6 for the whole day. the old man's reply was "don't try to bluff me, i know the prices around here one!" LoL .. after that i decided that i would get from the first store and that i would rent bicycles, as it was more practical if we were going to go the whole length of the park.
after hanging around the field next to barbeque pit 36 watching the rest play rugby and soccer, we decided to go to the macs for lunch. i felt very broke so i just grab whatever fries that were available hehe =D sean called me after that... that lazy piggy ahhh... when i called him at 8:30 in the morning, he said that he would not be going and that his mom wanted to have lunch with him... see la! after that make me go cycle back to the bus stop to pick him... sigh~ who ask me be his friend... hahaha jkjk! ok, got sean. and back in macs.. everyone went bowling after that... whoah, i bowled 5 games today, right thumb got blister! boo.
after bowling, some people went to play pool and the rest went cycling... as i had the bicycle already, i had no choice but to go cycle... so, we went back to the bicycle rental shop and rented another 5 bicycles. it kinda rained while we were bowling, i got my legs so dirty while cycling on the wet floor... their bikes don't have mud guards!! sheesh. so we cycled until the end at safra country club and continued on to the place next to the airport runway! after thinking of going to places like changi village and to try to get back to the park by another way and failing, we decided to go back the original way we came.. by this time it was already past 7 and there was lightning all over... lucky it didn't rain heavily or we would be soaked chickens xD
after returning the bicycles at around 7:30pm, we went to take a bus back to town.. had dinner at suntec FOODCOURT. how boring is that man lol. theres plenty of food all around, BUT! we had to go to suntec's foodcourt! heh. mom called me then and asked when i was going home. told her that i was at suntec and she made me her delivery boy! made me go to carrefour to buy her her favourite vegetable juice heh... up till now i still do not understand why it costs $3.85 .. so expensive! jeesh even the ginseng chrysenthemum does not cost so much.. oh well, she also asked me if i wanted a lift home from Yio Chu Kang MRT. by the time we were done with dinner and Sean went to get his stuff for tomorrow, mom changed her mind about picking me already. Boo! so i had to take bus home from Ang Mo Kio MRT... sigh~ finally got home at 10.15pm and here i am now writing this blog.
